Kenyir Lake (Tasik Kenyir)
Situated in the inner reaches of Terengganu, it is set in the heart
of the rainforest which bestows upon Kenyir her majesty and incredible
assortment of flora and fauna including rare ferns, exotic orchids,
hornbills, elephants, and panthers, among many others. The lake
it self contains at least 14 waterfalls, about 340 islands created
by the flooding of the area, and numerous species of aquatic life,
the quantity and variety of fish being the favorite attraction for
anglers. |

Diving Places
Near the Terengganu, there are alot of diving spot can
be visited. Those spots can be found near some small island such
as Redang Island, Pinang Island, Kapas Island, Gernia Island, Bidong
Island, Lang Tengah Island, Perhentian Kecil and Besar Island. Besides
of enjoying the scenery of the island, you can also do the diving
to enjoy the scenery of undersea. |

Floating Mosque
Floating Mosque (Masjid Tengku Tengah Zaharah), on the
estuary of Ibai river, is built in such as way as to give the illusion
that it is floating on water. It sees a setting of modern architecture
against a stark natural landscape. Pristine white, plain and unadorned,
the mosque is an unpretentious architectural statement, yet bold
and strong at the same time. In the surrounding area, there is a

Rantau Abang (Dungun)
Rantau Abang is about 56 km south of Kuala Terengganu,
the beach is one of the main nesting areas for sea turtles, and
one of only six in the world to be visited by the giant leatherback
from months of May to September.
Besides the turtle, Rantau Abang is also known for its white, sandy
and rocky beaches such as Teluk Bidara and Tanjong Jara that suitable
for relaxation, picnicking, sunbathing and swimming. |

Lata Beringin Waterfall
& Hot Spring
Located about 130 km from Kuala Terengganu and 40 km from Besut,
it is easily assessable by all forms of road transport. The Caressing
Lata Berangin is an ideal spot to rest after a tiring and strenuous
jungle trekking. The cool breeze with the cascading water from a
height of 300 feet will soothe away tiredness giving one a sense
of vigor and vitality. There is also a hot spring in Besut which
is known as the LA Hot Springs with its water temperature ranging
from 45 - 49 degrees Ceicius. |

Bukit Puteri
Bukit Puteri is situated at the mouth of Terengganu River. It covers
an area of about 658 hectares and the height is about 200 meters
from the sea level. It was a fortress between 1831 and 1876 to defend
the lands from enemy attacks. This hill on Jalan Kota gives a good
view of the town. A few historical artifacts still exists on Bukit
Puteri till this present day. Among them are a big bell, cannon,
a flag pole, light house, graves and a defence wall. |

Istana Maziah
lstana Maziah is believed to have been constructed during the reign
of Sultan Zainal Abidin Ill. It was built in 1897 to replace the
lstana Hijau which was burned down during World War II. Located
next to Bukit Puteri, it is the venue for royal birthdays, weddings,
conferment of titles and receptions for local and foreign dignitaries.
A product of the blend between splendid modern and traditional architecture,
it is also well-known as one of Malaysia's cultural attractions. |
